We are located in Casper Wyoming and train both there and at the Big Bend Ranch located in Pierre So. Dakota. Our training experience is based upon working for and studying under 3 top field trial trainers, 2 of which have trained several national field champions. Our goal is to produce high quality field trial, hunt test, and hunting dogs.
Our emphasis is training young field trial and hunt test dogs. Our gun dog program is second to none, because we train young dogs. All marking set-ups include every dog and not just the advanced field trial dogs.
FIELD TRIAL TRAINING
Our field training program is composed of basics and transition. Your dog will learn everything from basic obedience and water de-cheating to multiple marks and blind retrieves
HUNT TEST TRAINING
The First two phases of our AKC hunt test programs are fundamentally the same as the field trial training program. We incorporate hunt test training for today’s hunt tests.
GUN DOG TRAINING
Cross train for waterfowl and upland game. The basic gun dog program is 3 to 4 months. It begins with basic obedience and can be tailored to your hunting needs. We can train your waterfowl dog to handle on blind retrieves, or your pheasant dog to hunt within shooting range.
PUPPY ADVANTAGE PROGRAM-LIMIT 3 PUPS
We take puppies from 2 to 5 months in our advantage program. In their time frame we focus on socializing puppies so they gain the confidence needed to one day become Field Champ, Master Hunter or an awesome gun dog. We introduce them to live birds and retrieve them on a daily basis to bring out the natural desire to retrieve. Pups going thru this program really excel when formal training starts at 6 months.
Our breeding program is very select. Litters are usually limited to 1 a year. We use only top producing sires and our dams are out of Field Champion National Field Champions. Started or finished dogs are for sale on a request basis. If you are looking for a particular type of dog let us know. Spring and summer training takes place on our training grounds in South Dakota. Grounds consists of rolling hills, technical ponds and marking fields. Our winter grounds are located in Casper Wyoming.
